Kristen Stewart Shops for Engagement Rings
After four years and four blockbuster films, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are ready to take their relationship to the next level.
In Touch has learned that Kristen went shopping at Neil Lane in West Hollywood with a friend in early June and stunned eyewitnesses when she headed straight for the engagement rings!
?She was trying on gold rings with various colored diamonds ? nothing traditional,? one excited onlooker tells In Touch of the 22-year-old Twilight actress.
Kristen used to be in favor of taking ?baby steps,? but a friend of the couple tells In Touch, ?She loves Rob, and she?s finally ready ? an engagement is a logical next step.?
They?ve been building toward it, adds the friend: ?In the past year, they?ve really heated up ? moving in together, traveling together, introducing each other to friends.?

The smartphone you'll lust after -- for Christmas 2013
Every week, it seems, the one-upmanship on screen size continues in the Android world. "Not happy with a 4.8-inch screen, well we have 5 inches for you." "Yeah, well we have 5.5 inches." "Is that all? We've got a 6-incher in the works." It's becoming a bit of a burlesque.

Alessio Sakara planning appeal of DQ loss
Saturday's UFC 154 bout between Alessio Sakara and Patrick Cote ended in controversy as Sakara was disqualified by referee Dan Miragliotta for throwing illegal blows to the back of Cote's head. UFC president Dana White said Miragliotta did a "horrible job" because he allowed Cote to take too many hits and called the fight a DQ and not a no contest. However, Miragliotta told Yahoo! Sports on Saturday that the commission in Montreal told him the fight had to end in a disqualification, not a no contest.
Miragliotta also explained what constitutes an illegal blow to MMA Junkie:
"Even though most of your hand is hitting the back of the head, if your pinkie knuckle is hitting him in the ear, it's a legal shot," said Miragliotta. "Maybe that's what people don't understand. They said, 'Oh, it's the back of the head.' It is the back of the head, but it's hitting him in the ear.
But Sakara's manager denies that Miragliotta warned Sakara, as Miragliotta said he did. He also says he didn't see the blows to the back of the head. Luckily, we have the magic of photography to see.
This one, from Yahoo! Sports photographer Tracy Lee, shows Sakara's hand brushing Cote's ear.
This angle shows a clear blow to the back of the head, though. Shot from above the top of the cage, there is no impediment in showing where Sakara was hitting Cote. Sakara's camp is planning to appeal the ruling. Meanwhile, White already said a rematch between the two will happen.

Yves Edwards, Daron Cruickshank, Abel Trujilo shine on UFC on Fox 5 preliminaries
Yves Edwards topped off the preliminary card of the UFC on Fox 5 in Seattle on Saturday night with a bang. He gave Jeremy Stephens his third straight loss -- and first loss by knockout -- with a perfectly placed right hook. Edwards followed with elbows on the ground, and it didn't take long. Edwards won by knockout at 1:55 in the first.
Raphael Assuncao and Ramsey Nijem both walked away with decision wins. Nijem took a bloody decision 30-27, 29-28, 29-28 unanimous decision from Joe Procter, while Assuncao won 29-28, 30-27, 30-27 over Mike Easton.
Daron Cruickshank made an early bid for the UFC's "Knockout of the Night" bonus. After battering Henry Martinez for the first round, Cruickshank landed a perfect kick to the head. Martinez fell to the ground to give Cruickshank a second-round knockout.
Marcus LeVesseur stepped in as a very late replacement against Abel Trujillo. LeVesseur's wrestling couldn't stop the Trujillo's relentless striking. In his UFC debut, Trujillo won with a second round technical knockout.
Dennis Siver showed again that the featherweight division is his rightful home. He dominated Nam Phan from beginning to end, landing knees and kicks with few answers from Phan. It was so dominant that the judges scored it 30-24, 30-25, 30-26 in Siver's favor.
Scott Jorgensen was not happy that his fight with John Albert was the only fight on the undercard, and he lobbied Dana White for weeks to get it moved. It turned out the performance did show on FX, mostly because of Jorgensen's exciting finish. After a round of back-and-forth grappling, Jorgensen slapped on a rear-naked choke in the final seconds of the round. Albert tapped at 4:59, just barely before the horn sounded to signal the end of the round.

Beet Commentary: iPad Mini Could Boost Mobile Ads
Given the smaller size of the iPad Mini, Apple's latest entrant could be a play to drive meaningful tablet ad revenue, says Ashley Swartz in this commentary on new devices from Apple and Microsoft. Apple needs to build a new revenue stream from its mobile platform to effectively compete with Amazon and others in the mobile ad arena, Swartz says. For now, Apple is primarily deriving mobile device revenue from iTunes and apps, but needs to move beyond that to monetize ads as well, Swartz posits. Apple's prior efforts with iAds failed, but the tech giant may have success in the 7-inch "sweet spot" of the iPad Mini, Swartz says. Here's why: Mobile marketing firm Velti has said that the 7-inch Kindle Fire has seen click-through rates on its ads in the 3.3% range, compared to 1.9% on the iPad. That suggests the smaller form factor of the iPad Mini may drive more ad dollars. "If Apple is to win and dominate the tablet ecosystem, that means ads will be optimized for its screen, and the advertising ecosystem will standardize around the plurality of the installed base and Apple is looking to win that," she says in her commentary. For more insight on the iPad Mini as well as thoughts on the Microsoft Surface, check out this video.Ashley Swartz is a principal of the New York-based consultancy Furious Minds. Hands on with the LG Nexus 4 bumper
We finally got our hands on the LG Nexus 4 bumper, so is it worth the wait?
It's here. It's finally, finally here. Proving far more difficult to lay hands on than any accessory ever should, the LG Nexus 4 bumper has proved somewhat elusive. The order for a bumper was placed on the same day -- launch day no less -- as the phone, but while the phone arrived, the wait for the bumper went on. Emails and phone calls to Google Play customer services passed, only to discover there were stocking issues. And, all this despite -- in the UK at least -- the Play Store claiming the item was in stock to ship within 3-5 days.
Indeed, some customers in various markets got theirs almost immediately, but for many others the wait went on, and on, and on. But, ours has finally arrived just a day after receiving the shipping notice. So, we ripped open the box, fired up the camera, and went hands on. We'll take you through it after the break.
